There are a few reasons why we refuse to include adverts on our site.
1 The adverts distract you from your learning.
When learning a language it is important to focus. You need to be in a state of mind where the mind is free from distraction and can start developing connections at a deep neurological level. During this process millions of neurons are being activated to make connections.
The objective of an advert is take your attention and promote a product. Adverts often use bright colours, flashing text and alluring images.
2 Adverts dilute the quality of the content.
If we inserted flashing adverts in every available space, it wouldn’t make the language course look very good. We spent years developing the content you see here and
3 We would prefer to promote language learning.
A website has very little control over what adverts are ultimately shown on the site. Our mission (which can be read here) was to promote language learning and cross cultural communication. We do not want to create a website to atttact visitors only to promote credit card companies, soft drinks and sports shoes.
4. We would prefer to promote our own work.
We have opted to offer high quality and comprehensive materials that satisfy a high percentage of the population.
The majority of people coming to our site use the free materials and seem to be content with that (by the way, if you do like the content, send us an email or write a review)

5. We don’t advertise either.
We don’t run our own adverts on other websites or social media platforms. We have often believed that quality speaks for itself!
